Frequently asked questions

Question: What is the rate for a wedding rental?

Answer: For 2024, the venue rental rate for a wedding is $4,750 plus sales tax for 12 hours and a refundable damage deposit of $500. For more details see the Rates and Amenities tab. Price does not include a $10 banquet permit from Washington state or the event insurance.

Question: Is alcohol allowed?

Answer: Yes. You must purchase a $10 banquet permit to serve your guests alcohol with a licensed and insured bartender. The banquet permit does not allow you to charge your guests for alcohol consumption. You must serve the alcohol for free.

Question: Is smoking allowed?

Answer: Yes, smoking is allowed but only in the designated smoking area.

Question: Is the Venue pet friendly?

Answer: With prior agreement, Pets are allowed during the ceremony, but arrangements should be made to send them home after the photos.

Question: What if I need more rentals?

Answer: Thunder Ridge provides chairs, tables, and some other items to accommodate up to 100 guests. For more details see the Rates and Amenities tab. If you need more rentals than what is provided, you will need to make additional rental arrangements. You are responsible for setting up and cleaning up any additional rental items.

Question: How late can my event go?

Answer: All events must shut down music by 9 pm and all guests/vendors must be off the premises by 10 pm.

Question: How much time do we have for set up and break down?

Answer: The venue rate for weddings is for a 12-hour rental. The venue rate for other events is for a 4-hour rental. Set-up and break down will need to occur within that time frame. Music for all weddings and events must end by 9 PM. All guests must be off the property and clean-up will need to be completed by 10 PM.

Question: Will there be a day of coordinator?

Answer: No. There will be two Thunder Ridge venue managers on duty during your event. We provide the space for your event and set-up and break down all tables, chairs, yard games, and garbage. We strongly recommend that you hire a professional wedding planner or day of coordinator to assist with the event.

Question: Is there parking on-site?

Answer: Yes. Parking is on-site but limited to 45 vehicles. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Question: Can we take pictures on the property?

Answer: Yes, the property is available to photographers. Call or email to make a reservation for photo sessions outside of your rental time.
